Here is a sweet and salty snack mix that is perfect to munch on during a party, on the go, or while you watch a movie.

We spend much of our afternoons and evenings on the go. My daughter is quite the little ballerina and has 3-8 practices a week depending on the schedule. They are preparing for an April production, so that means more time away from home. I have a lot of extra time on my hands while I wait, so I spend that time on my phone.

WiFi is not available at the dance studio, so I rely on my phone plan to keep me entertained. Whether it's Snapchat, Facebook, Messenger or Instagram, I seem to go through data quickly. Since we spend so much time running around to kid activities, we really cherish those evenings we have free to enjoy time together as a family. We like to play video games or watch a movie. The other night we took advantage of the free movie that comes with the Walmart Family Mobile PLUS plan. We munched on this Peanut Butter Caramel Snack Mix while we enjoyed the movie on our gaming system.

Peanut Butter Caramel Snack Mix

Ingredients (2 gallons)

• 2 sticks butter (1 cup)
• 1.5 cups brown sugar
• 3/4 cup peanut butter
• 14 cups popcorn
• 6 cups toasted oat cereal
• 6 cups pretzel twists
• 3 cups mini marshmallows
• 2 cups peanuts
• 1.5 cups candy-coated chocolate candies

Instructions

Place the butter, brown sugar, and peanut butter in a microwave-safe bowl.

Microwave for approximately 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until combined.

Place the rest of the ingredients in a huge mixing bowl.

Stir to mix them up.

Pour the peanut butter caramel over the mix and stir until evenly coated.

Let the coating harden by placing on cookie sheets.

This recipe can easily be cut in half.

Store in an airtight container.
