Happy Chinese New Year or 農曆新年
Today begins the Year of the Sheep. You might also hear it referred to Ram or Goat.
I made my daughter a special bento today to wish her a special day.
Chinese New Year Sheep Bento Lunch
The whole wheat bread is topped with a sheep make with provolone and turkey on a bed of lettuce. The sheep is decorated with edible marker. The bread has condiments on it already, so she will slip the sheep and lettuce in between the slices of bread to complete the sandwich. The mini cheese wheel is decorated with the Fu symbol, which means fortune or good luck. The orange also represents good luck. There is also blueberries and a heart shaped cookie.
