Father's Day is upon us and I have a great gift tutorial for Dad. You can whip up this nautical themed valet tray in under 30 minutes.
My inspiration for this gift came from the

Macy's. He likes the light musky scent that has sort of a fruit essence to it. Kind of like a woodsy apple. I like how sexy it smells on him! I got this deluxe gift set for only $65.00. My husband loves everything nautical. He's a former sailor who is still drawn to the sea. He's a wonderful father who deserves a great gift! I appreciate how hard he works to provide for our family and how much he helps around here. I might be the captain that steers this ship most days, but he's certainly the anchor that keeps us all grounded. I created this valet tray for him to store his new cologne and other essentials, and to remind him that he's our anchor.
Nautical Valet Tray
charger plate
jute or nautical rope
anchor stencil
paint
hot glue gun
sponge brush
painters tape
scissors
Directions: Starting from the inside of the charger plate, glue the rope around the lip. Continue to ring around until there is a little bit of the outside edge showing. It will look like a porthole. Tape the stencil in place. Carefully dab paint until the entire stencil is covered. Carefully remove stencil and let the paint dry.
Notes: I used a denim lined charger plate. I created my anchor stencil by cutting out an anchor that I had printed on some card stock. I trimmed the little hairy pieces of rope along the inside before I stenciled.
I love how it turned out! He is going to LOVE it!
