Easy Cherry Almond Microwave Fudge

Here is another easy microwave fudge recipe. This cherry almond variety tastes just like a cherry cordial.
Easy Cherry Almond Microwave Fudge
Simple ingredients, but big results!
Cherry Almond Microwave Fudge

Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 2 minutes
Ingredients (4 pounds)
  • sweetened condensed milk, 2 cans
  • semi-sweet chocolate chips, 3 bags
  • 4 Tbsp butter
  • 1 Tbsp almond extract
  • maraschino cherries, 2 jars
Instructions

In a large glass bowl soften the butter in the microwave. Add the condensed milk and chocolate chips to the bowl and microwave in 30 second increments, stirring in between. Repeat until the chips are melted.

Drain and chop the maraschino cherries. Stir in the extract and cherries into the melted chocolate. Pour into a foil lined 9x13 dish. Refrigerate until firm. Cut & serve.

It's so yummy!!! I took it to a potluck and it disappeared quickly!
Easy Cherry Almond Microwave Fudge
I originally planned to make a cherry pie filling fudge, but it was a fail. I made it with white chocolate chips, stirring some pie filling into the top of the fudge. The chocolate hardened, but the pie filling stayed gooey. It tasted good, but was a big mess!!
Do you prefer white or semi-sweet chocolate chips?
